THE CYCLE OF LIGHT
The 120th anniversary of Boucheron on the Place Vendôme offers the opportunity to rediscover the DNA of the “House” and to reach a wider target. On this occasion, Boucheron celebrates the cycle of light that enlightens their emblematic address, the 26 Place Vendôme, every single day. An interactive sculpture faithfully reproduces the sun’s path from East to West
THE PAPER ARCHITECTURE
Our task? To revisit the concept of a series, putting in place a new setting of the “B Moments” which reveals them in a more poetic way, making their discovery more playful. For the first time, the Place Vendôme is handmade by the artist Jo Lynn Alcorn as a sculpture in white paper.
THE DEDICATED WEBSITE
We created a totally interactive website. The story of the house is highlighted through sculptures that invite further exploration. By directing the cycle of light from morning until night, the public discovers the five most iconic “B Moments” that link Boucheron and the Place Vendôme. A simple and intuitive navigation to scroll throughout the day. When the user clicks on the button to see an episode, the page scrolls to the associated moodboard. The public creates their vision of Boucheron’s universe as they imagine it.www.boucheron.com/moments-b.html
AN ARTISTIC FEAT
“When I looked at all the parts of this very complex creation, I immediately thought of my son Antonio. I needed his technical expertise to realize this work.”
“While I am a creative and intuitive sort of person, Antonio has a much more scientific and analytical kind of mind, that can really figure out how to do complicated constructions such as building a column that tapers, with a spiral, and a dome.”
“It’s really quite mathematical.”
