As the UNESCO International Year of Glaciers’ Preservation draws to a close, we launched The Voice of the Glaciers, for 1% for the Planet, an initiative designed to give glaciers a literal voice.
The campaign features an ice vinyl that melts over time. Recorded on the Mer de Glace in the French Alps, this unique vinyl captures the authentic sounds of a dying glacier — its cracks, groans, and trickles. As it plays, the record gradually melts, symbolizing the irreversible loss of these frozen sentinels.
